Choctaw County Career and Technology Center had some students participate in the FORGE Career Interview Day on Thursday, February 20, at EMCC Communiversity. Our students began preparing for this event months ago with Mrs. Marcy McGlothin (CTE School Counselor) and Mrs. Tonya Johnson (CCHS Career Coach). The students learned all about how to write a resume, learned interview skills, and participated in a school mock interview where a few industry leaders came and participated. Thanks to Cater Wood (Alfa Insurance), Dena Kelly (Gentiva Hospice), Tonya Johnson (CCHS Career Coach), and Kayla Palmer (CCCTC SSC) for volunteering and giving our students feedback. In the final preparation stages, the students finalized resumes and played Jenga interview games. The students put in a lot of effort and did an amazing job. It was a great opportunity and great experience that will make a lasting impact on each one of them.
