Choctaw County Career & Tech Center

Last week, the 7th grade students at CCHS were introduced to the opportunities available to them at Choctaw County Career & Technical Center. Ms. Shumaker helped out by bringing each of her ICT classes over to CCCTC where students were taken on tours by Mrs. Bishop and Mrs. Prisock. Students got to visit each classroom during their tour where they heard first hand from the program instructors what all each program offers. Additionally, the 7th graders got to hear first hand from current CTE students. Our CTE students were excited to share with their visitors the types of things they do in their particular program, the different hands on learning experiences they are getting, and their future career goals and how their CTE program is assisting them in reaching those goals. Current CTE students also talked about the student organizations that are available to students in each program and the competitions and benefits that come from being part of the various organizations!
