The first shop assignment in the Construction/Carpentry class this year has been constructing a bird house. During the building process, students learned several safety rules in operating hand and power tools. Students practiced their skills using the skilsaw, table saw, bandsaw and drill press. Measuring skills were put to the test as students completed the project. These well crafted birdhouses can be purchased at CCCTC for only $5.00.
