The Construction/Carpentry class recently built a shooting bench for the Choctaw County 4-H Shooting Club. Mr. Darrell Banks, Agriculture & Natural Resource Agent/4-H, comments that the 4-H Shooting Club is open to all youth (ages 8-18) who are interested in participating in the following disciplines: air rifle, .22 Rifle, shotgun, hunting and archery. The shooting bench will help 4-H youth in the precision category by eliminating problems with shaky hands, resulting in a more accurate shot. Mr. Robert Black, Construction/Carpentry Instructor, says that his program tries to do at least one community service project each year. It gives the students a sense of giving back to the community and shows how important it is to be involved in the community. Twenty students participated in the project.
