Many old tractors were great in their day, but as with everything, have been replaced by new and improved models. In most cases, the old trusted tractor just sets up and rusts with the passing of time; as it was with an old Ford 8N tractor that was brought into the Ag shop looking rundown and not cranking. Mr. Dudley Vance and his students overhauled the engine and brought new life into this old tractor. Students were pleased when the tractor fired up for the first time. In the end, the job turned out to be almost a complete restoration. During the restoration process, students learned skills from compression systems of the engine, to electrical systems and hydraulic systems, as well as preparation and painting.
